ISEQ falls slightly in morning trading

The ISEQ index of Irish shares has slipped slightly in morning trading today, falling 4.49 to 5,641.25.

Allied Irish Bank shares have climbed 2c to €13.62 but Bank of Ireland shares have slipped 7c to €11.05 today. Bank of Ireland said in a trading statement yesterday it expects to deliver strong operating profits and strong volume growth when it reports half-year results next week.
