Fyffes: Bocchi talks over

Fruit distributor Fyffes says it has ended talks with the Italian importer of fruit and vegetables Bocchi Holdings.

In a statement today, Fyffes said: "Fyffes plc wishes to respond to recent broker comments in relation to a possible transaction between Fyffes plc and Bocchi Holdings BV.

"Whilst discussions have taken place, negotiations between the parties have ended and consequently no transaction is currently contemplated.

"Fyffes intends to continue its strategy to expand its business and to pursue development opportunities in its sector."
