Intel urges Aer Lingus cargo U-turn
US multinational Intel will urge the Government to block a decision by Aer Lingus to withdraw cargo services, The Sunday Business Post reported today.
The decision to end services in two weeks has sparked concerns about the impact of the move on exports.
Intel was part of a delegation from the Irish Exporters Association (IEA), which included the pharmaceutical company, Amersham Health, that visited Aer Lingus headquarters on Friday.
The delegation met senior officials at the airline to express grave concern at its decision to terminate the carrier's "Interline Cargo Agreement" with international airlines from September 1.
