Schroders doubles half-year profits

Global asset manager Schroders today said half-year profits had more than doubled to £60.8m (€90.6m) as the amount of funds under its management hit £100bn (€149bn).

The performance for the six months to June 30 benefited from increased levels of customer activity, even though the FTSE 100 Index and other markets failed to show progress during a lacklustre start to the year.
