The Small Firms Association (SFA) has warned that the proposed increase of 8% in electricity prices could mean that many Irish companies would not be able to compete internationally.

In its Autumn Economic Statement, published today, the association said that this rise would mean electricity costs have risen by 37% in the past three years.
