German carmaker BMW said today it is recalling 4,000 vehicles worldwide due to defective control units in V8 and V12 petrol engines.

German carmaker BMW said today it is recalling 4,000 vehicles worldwide due to defective control units in V8 and V12 petrol engines.

BMW said in Frankfurt new vehicles registered between May 13 and July 6 were affected.
