Financials down at midday

The ISEQ index of shares was down 13.58 at 5,432.09 at midday today.

The financials led the losses AIB down 12c at €12.36 and Bank of Ireland down 17c at €10.54.

However, Abbey PLC was up a substantial 25c at €8.35.

Meanwhile, Ryanair was on the up after announcing strong passenger figues. The low-cost carrier was up 14c at €4.83.
