Ports handle 2.8% more goods in 2003, says CSO

Irish ports handled 46,165,000 tonnes of goods in 2003 compared with 44,919,000 tonnes in 2002 - an increase of 2.8%, figures released by the CSO have revealed.

Goods received increased by 3.3% in comparison with 2002, while goods forwarded increased by 1.5%.
