Kinsale-based badge maker Chris Kay has been bought by US firm ITW.

The company makes badges for the world's top soccer teams and has operations in Holland, Hong Kong, China and England.

It recently renewed its three-year exclusive deal for the Premiership in England.

Chris Kay also manufactures badges for the top countries represented at this summer's Euro 2004 Championships in Portugal.
