Bosses of British Airways have given up their annual bonuses despite notching up a 70% rise in annual profits.

The company’s annual report released today shows that chief executive Rod Eddington voluntarily waived a bonus of around £175,000 (€261,000) – about a third of his £558,000 (€832,454) salary.
