'Disgraced' AIB exec to remain on Fyffes board

Gerry Scanlan, one of five AIB executives named in connection with an offshore scheme at the bank, will remain on the board of Fyffes, the company’s AGM was told today.

Karl McCann, the chairman of the board at Fyffes, told shareholders at this morning’s meeting that the company had made a good start to the year, with profits to date running ahead of expectations.
