Blow for Black as judge protects Hollinger cash probe
Former Daily Telegraph boss Conrad Black suffered a legal setback when a US federal judge upheld an agreement designed to prevent any interference with a committee investigating the finances of the company he once headed.
US District Judge Blanche Manning said in her 13-page order that the consent decree between the Securities and Exchange Commission and Chicago-based newspaper holding company Hollinger International was needed to protect the rights of its minority shareholders.
