Eurostar has said passenger numbers were up 19% in the first three months of 2004, while sales jumped 17% to £106m (€159.1m).

Eurostar has said passenger numbers were up 19% in the first three months of 2004, while sales jumped 17% to £106m (€159.1m).

Eurostar said 89% of trains arrived on time or within 15 minutes of the scheduled time, up from 73% the previous year.

Eurostar also said its share of the London-Paris travel market rose to 66% in February from 58% the previous year and Eurostar's share of the London-Brussels route rose to 52% from 38% in the same period.
