Healthcare recruitment on the rise - BOI index

The number of jobs advertised in the national daily and Sunday newspapers for February rose by 24% on the same period last year, according to latest Bank of Ireland's Job Index. A total of 19,060 recruitment advertisements appeared during the month.

The index, produced by the business banking division, shows that the healthcare sector, which has been experiencing an ongoing decline in advertised recruitment, showed a substantial improvement with a 46% increase in jobs advertised last month.
