Irish broadband announces initiative with ESB to broaden service
Irish Broadband, the wireless broadband Internet access company, has announced a further development and rollout of its service in the greater Dublin area through an initiative with the ESB.
The company will be enabling Internet connectivity for new customers from outside Dublin via the existing ESB national fibre network.
Paul Doody, Managing Director, Irish Broadband said: "The meaning of this latest initiative is that customers outside of Dublin can avail of Irish Broadband's high-speed, always on and most economical data transmission service. We welcome the ESB's initiative to provide service throughout Ireland at Dublin prices."
Irish Broadband said it will not penalise those connecting to its network in rural locations surrounding the city or elsewhere.
Irish Broadband operates its own wireless network, so it does not depend on eircom for connection to customers nor do customers require a telephone line to avail of the service.
