Japanese economy on the rise again

Japan, the world's number two economy is at its strongest in years, with Japanese growth at the end of 2003 likely to exceed that of the US.

A news agency poll forecast 4.6% expansion in the last quarter, compared with 4% in the US, as Japanese products going to North America and China stoked the economy.
