BMW deny X3 increased production plans

BMW has denied a report that it plans to increase annual production this year of its recently-launched X3 sports utility vehicle to 110,000 units from 70,000-80,000.

A company spokesperson said the company does not plan to introduce a third shift in the first quarter in addition to the current two shifts which build a total of 500 units daily.
