Packaging firm to let 119 workers go

119 workers are to lose their jobs at a packaging firm based in Limerick and Mayo after a neighbouring fire disrupted production at the plant.

Fitzpatrick Packaging and its Mayo subsidiary Fitz-Pack said today that a liquidator is to be appointed this afternoon to oversee the closure of the firm.
