Ceva's revenue climbs steadily
Computer chip maker Ceva has announced that revenues in the fourth quarter increased to $9.6m (€7.6m) compared with $9.3m (€7.3m) in the previous quarter.
The figure is also up from the $5.7m (€4.5m) recorded in the same period a year earlier.
Net losses in the fourth quarter were $9.6m (€7.6m), though this included a $9.1m (€7.2m) restructuring charge.
Total revenues for the whole of 2003 were $36.8m (€29.2m), with licensing revenues accounting for $25.7m (€20.4m) of this.
Net losses for the year were $12m (€9.5m), including $11.9m (€9.4m) of restructuring charges and asset writedowns.
"The fourth quarter was very successful on many fronts. We achieved our best ever performance in DSP licensing and again recorded good growth in royalties, which grew 23% over the third quarter," said Chet Silvestri, president and CEO of CEVA.
ParthusCeva changed its name to Ceva last November as part of its plan to focus on DSP cores and application technologies.
