The European Commission has said it is disappointed by US regulators' reluctance to allow European stock exchanges to install their trading screens in the US.

SEC chairman William Donaldson told reporters that until the US completed the study of its national market structure, which will be completed some time this year, there will be no relaxation of US rules.
