Signifcant drop in vehicles licensed for the first time

New vehicles licensed last month show a drop of almost 16% on the previous year, according to today's figures from the Central Statistics Office (CSO).

For the 11 months of 2003, there wre 141,044 new private cars licensed inidicating a decrease of 4.5% on the corresponding period last year.
