HBOS, the British bank which owns Bank of Scotland Ireland, said today it expects to meet the market's full year earnings and said that 2004 could be even better.

HBOS, the British bank which owns Bank of Scotland Ireland, said today it expects to meet the market's full year earnings and said that 2004 could be even better.

The bank said in a statement this morning that mortgage lending growth in the second half of the year has matched first half levels and that the company will end the year with a market share of 23%.
