GSK puts further investment into Cork
GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) is set to invest a further $19m (€15.5m) in its research facility in Carrigaline, Cork.
The drug giant will use the money to build a new pharmaceutical R&D facility that will create 10 highly skilled jobs.
The British company already employs more than 1,400 people in Ireland, including more than 400 at the Cork facility.
The investment is the third by the company in Ireland this year.
It has already put €8m into expansion of its existing chemical pilot plant and spent €7m in a new R&D laboratory to carry out research on HIV products.
