A spokesperson for Trade Commissioner Pascal Lamy has said that the European Commission has not been notified by the US regarding plans to lift steel tariffs.
The World Trade Organisation has condemned the US measures, and the EU has said it will impose sanctions if the measures are not lifted by December 10.
