British Airways may develop Zurich or Paris as a second hub if the UK government gives its approval to a third runway at Stansted airport instead of Heathrow.
The British carrier has interests in Gatwick and its main hub is at Heathrow, but it does not have a presence at Stansted, and would not want to juggle three UK bases.
