O’Reilly Transport Ireland Ltd has signed a five-year transportation contract with building materials company Knauf worth €20m.

With Knauf's two Irish businesses - Gypsum Drywall and Insulation - the haulage firm has been contracted to move thousands of full 24-tonne loads throughout the country each year.

The company recently won the "Irish Logistics Operator Of The Year" Award.

Its managing director Eugene O’Reilly said: "We are delighted to be associated with such a large and professionally run company such as Knauf, and are proud to have won such a large contract against stiff competition."

Commenting on the deal Bryan Redmond, General Manager, Knauf stated : "We are confident that over the next five years O’Reilly Transport will keep the high levels of service that our customers have come to expect".
