UK insurance claims climb as rains fall

Car insurance claims soar by nearly two-thirds when heavy rain falls following a long period of dry weather, an British insurer said today.

Insurance group esure said accident-related motor insurance claims rose by an average of 65% on the first day the weather broke following a prolonged dry spell.
