Curran appointed Environment boss at Musgraves

The Musgrave Group has appointed John Curran to the new position of Environmental Executive with the grocery wholesaler and retail franchise operator.

The Musgrave Group has appointed John Curran to the new position of Environmental Executive with the grocery wholesaler and retail franchise operator.

Curran's role will involve the preparation and implementation of plans to maintain and develop

excellence in environmental management across the Group's extensive retail, wholesale and distribution operations.

The appointment is in line with the company's Environmental Charter that was introduced in 1999.

Musgraves manage retail distribution and franchise operations for more than 500 independently-owned SuperValu and Centra stores throughout Ireland, as well as an extensive cash-and-carry network and a food services business.

Annual group wholesale turnover exceeds €2.8bn.

Curran previously held the position of Marine Operations Manager with ConocoPhillips at the Bantry Bay Terminal, Cork.
