Ryanair claims today’s merger deal between Air France and KLM will be bad news for European consumers and passengers and is anti-competitive.

The no frills airline says there is evidence in the US that airline alliances and mergers result in the co-ordination of schedules, reduction of capacity and the elimination of competition.
