P&O investigated by EU regarding anti-competitive agreements

Peninsular & Oriental Steam Nav Co has confirmed it is being investigated by the European Commission, into passenger and freight transport services between Britain, Ireland and Continental Europe.

The investigation, which P&O said it believes arose from an informal complaint, concerns possible anti-competitive agreements and/or concerted practices contrary to Article 81 of the EC Treaty.
