Hewlett Packard has said that its contract to run Bank of Ireland’s information systems will be worth $600m (€875m) over its seven-year duration.

Hewlett Packard has said that its contract to run Bank of Ireland’s information systems will be worth $600m (€875m) over its seven-year duration.

The Bank of Ireland at one time had planned to combine its IT division with that of AIB but that plan was found to be unworkable. The bank then decided to put the work out to tender in a process which found Hewlett Packard in competition with IBM. HP emerged as the preferred supplier.
