O'Leary faces Oireachtas Committee

Ryanair chief executive Michael O'Leary appears before the Oireachtas Committee on Transport today to explain the company's refusal to refund tax and insurance fees to passengers who don't turn up for flights.

Almost a million passengers fail to show up for Ryanair flights each year, and forfeit on average €30 each in airport tax and insurance fees as well as the cost of their ticket.

Committee chairman, Fianna Fáil TD Eoin Ryan says they'll be questioning Mr O'Leary closely on why his budget airline doesn't give passengers their money back.
