UK electrical retailer Dixons is to cut up to 350 head office jobs because of the impact of tough trading conditions, it emerged today.

UK electrical retailer Dixons is to cut up to 350 head office jobs because of the impact of tough trading conditions, it emerged today.

The move comes two months after Dixons reported disappointing Christmas sales and warned annual profits would fall short of market hopes.

Most of the cuts will be at headquarters in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, although Dixons hopes some positions will be lost through normal staff turnover.
