Motorola make fourth quarter profit

Motorola made a profit in the fourth quarter of $174 or 8 cents a share, compared to a loss of $1.23 billion, or 55 cents a share.

Sales rose 3.2% over the same period. Each of the company's six segments showed positive operating earnings, with the handset division bringing revenue up 11% on the prior year.
