Iraq crisis boosts Euro against dollar

The euro reached a new three-year high against the US dollar today, hitting 1.0597 dollars on fears of a looming war in Iraq and further American economic weakness.

The last time the currency was higher was on October 27, 1999, when it was quoted at 1.0641 dollars.
