Bord Gais wins energy pipeline contract

The energy regulator has given Bord Gais the contract to build and operate pipelines serving Galway, Ballinasloe, Athlone, Mullingar and Tullamore.

Work on the pipelines is due to begin this autumn, subject to negotiations with the relevant local authorities.
