Kennedy to become editor of The Irish Times

Former Progressive Democrats TD Geraldine Kennedy is to be appointed as the new editor of The Irish Times.

Ms Kennedy, the newspaper's political editor, will succeed Conor Brady, who is retiring after 16 years as editor.
