Microsoft retracts licence arrangement changes
Microsoft is to launch a full re-evaluation of its end-licence arrangements, it announced yesterday in Florida.
Microsoft admitted that it had made a mistake when it launched a new licensing scheme on August 1 of this year. The change was an effort to simplify Microsoft's licensing arrangements. Now it requires customers to purchase maintenance contracts which are more expensive than actually buying the software.
