EC to harmonise prospectus rules

The European Commission said it has adopted a proposal for legislation that will harmonise prospectus rules for companies seeking to sell securities or admit them to a stock exchange anywhere in the EU.

The proposed legislation will now be passed to the European Parliament for a final reading and is expected to be approved by EU member states before the end of the year.
