Sick staff 'cost employers £23bn (€36bn) a year'

Sick staff could be costing UK employers up to £23bn (€36bn) a year, more than double the amount previously thought, says new research.

The figures show the "hidden costs" of sick days, like lost productivity and low morale, says income protection insurer UnumProvident.
