An Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern TD, today officially opened Cisco Systems' new premises, located at Eastpoint Business Park, Clontarf, Dublin. At the event, An Taoiseach paid tribute to Cisco's

commitment to the Internet and eBusiness in Ireland.

Speaking at the event, An Taoiseach said, "It is most encouraging to see a company with the unique international standing of Cisco marking its continued commitment to Ireland and our IT sector in particular. We are working to become a leading knowledge economy. In order to lead however, we must look to the future - we must have vision. It is very clear to me that Cisco have just that vision."

In response, Michael Galvin, Regional Sales Manager, Cisco Systems Ireland, said, "Cisco Systems Ireland believes that through our ideas, as much as through our technology, we can continue to contribute both to the success of your Government and businesses in operating in the new knowledge economy."
