Deutsche Telekom sees losses multiply
Deutsche Telekom has seen its losses multiply by five.
Falling profits at its fixed-line division and write-downs in the value of its acquisitions hit its profits.
Europe's biggest phone company made a net loss of €1.81bn for the first quarter.
Last year the loss was just €358m.
T-Com, the company's fixed-line division, accounts for around half of the group's earnings so its problems with fierce competition have affected the whole group.
