Air France strike called off

Air France pilots today cancelled a planned four day strike after a pay deal was struck with the company.

Unions had announced plans to strike from Thursday to Sunday - threatening to tie up air traffic in and out of France during the bank holiday weekend.

The pilots’ unions had demanded a 1.5%, across-the-board salary increase and the establishment of a regular timetable for talks about pay.
