Computer giant Intel may again postpone construction of a massive extension at their Co Kildare plant, which would create an extra 1,000 jobs.

The proposed development, which would be used to manufacture computer processors, has been delayed twice before at the company's plant in Leixlip.

Intel director John McGowan has reportedly confirmed that the building would be stalled again this year and that the company is looking at other options for the capital expenditure.
