Belgian authorities paid Ryanair more than £1.5m to lure the company to fly to Brussels, a European Commission investigation has revealed.

The Commission is investigating a financial deal made between Ryanair and authorities at Charleroi airport to make sure it complies EU rules that ban state aid to airlines.
