EMC results show 47% sales fall

EMC the data storage manufacturer, who employ 1800 in Cork, posted results which showed a 47% decline in sales.

It reported a Q3 net loss of $945.2m, or 43 cents a share. In the year ago quarter EMC had a profit of $458.2m, or 290 cents per share. It was the company's first loss-making quarter since Q4 1989.
