Sotheby’s Holdings announced in New York tonight that it is cutting 287 jobs, about 14% of its workforce, as part of a restructuring plan.

The parent company of Sotheby’s live and online auction businesses said it expects a third-quarter restructuring charge of £9.3 million for the cuts.
