Toyota recalls 13,000 Yaris cars
Toyota is recalling 13,000 Yaris compact cars sold throughout Europe to check a technical problem affecting rear wheels.
The cars were assembled between February and June at the Toyota plant in Valenciennes, northeast France.
The car maker issued the recall after a customer reported hearing a bang at the back of his Yaris.
Toyota wants to ensure that bolts on the rear wheels were well tightened.
About 25% of the vehicles have already been checked.
Some 6,200 of the cars being recalled were registered in France. The remainder were sold Britain and other European nations, said a company spokesman.
