Well-known Dublin hotel, Wynn’s has put the brakes on a €16m plan by property investment fund Tetrarch Capital to build a new boutique hotel off O’Connell Street.

Last month, Dublin City Council granted planning permission to Sagrada Ltd, on behalf of Tetrarch, to convert Sackville House into a 158-bedroom hotel behind the former Clery’s department store.

Tetrarch Capital already owns several hotels including the Marker Hotel in Dublin and the Powerscourt Hotel in Wicklow.
