No limit on how infantile political operators can be on social media

I did not watch any of last weekend’s Fine Gael ard fheis, but from time to time I glanced at social media to gauge reaction to what was being said.

As could be expected, the feedback was very mixed and was clearly very heavily influenced by the particular political bias of those who commented.

However, I was more struck by the manner in which the opposition political parties clearly had their social media staff on overtime over the weekend, such was the extent of the negative comments that were being put out into the ether.
